My company is moving by the end of January.

Current proposal of desk arrangment has us losing 12 feet of desk space or a little over 60% per person for EVERYONE.

It's causing quite an uproar.

It's basically a culture change from lots of personal working space & a little common space to the exact opposite.

I gotta say I wonder where the computers on my desks will go.

Sounds more like an economic change to try to cut overhead costs by reducing the amount of space to be leased.

Where is the extra space being utilized if everyone is getting 60% less desk space?

Nope! We're moving in a building 30% bigger!

They need the extra space for team-building exercises.

Ellison's Oracle team was down 8-1 in the America's Cup finals, reeled off 8 straight wins to win the cup back for the US.

Only one American national on the winning crew.

I read it.  Pretty interesting piece.

That is a pretty impressive comeback.

But he didnt win the cup back for the US.  The Oracle boat was the defending champion.  That is why it was in Sanfran - the place Ellison choose to defend the cup.
