he's the only 20th century painter I genuinely give a shit about.

How pedestrian.

Don't care.  I don't review fine art.

We can tell from the reviews.

What does that even mean?  The movies I review are bad?  Incomplete, try again.

Then who gives a shit about your opinion? :hmm:

Well, you do review a lot of low-budget sci-fi.

Reminds me that I haven't seen a 50s B-movie in a while. :(

Only medium ridiculous.

Daytona is only a medium ridiculous town.
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

Not totally ridiculous.  Dali's actual painting technique was realist, or representational I guess, in terms of light and shadow, and giving his subjects realistic weight, which is why, unless another's just not coming to mind, he's the only 20th century painter I genuinely give a shit about.

I always pegged you for a fan of Diego Rivera.

Realism is what Dalí was rebelling against (even as late as the 20s that was being taught at the Spanish Academy.)

Just had the car washed by the high school volleyball team. Not seeing the huge appeal. They didn't even use Armor All on the tires.
