Well, shit.  There is no clear winner in the Israeli election.  I was hoping they'd throw Bibi out on his ass.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

If reality were a game, it feels like the fascists have been save-scumming for a couple of decades now.  It seems like at every juncture where things can go either way, and it makes a difference which way it goes, the outcome favorable to the fascists wins out.

To me it seems like a form of self-ownage to openly admit to such feelings.  You're kind of immediately conceding that your social status is lower than that of the people being pissed off.  It's usually the have-nots who are desperate to see the haves suffer setbacks rather than the other way around.

Yeah, I think to a large extent, Brexit, Trump and a lot of other crazy things are about hurting the well-off.  "If I can't get some of your money, at least I annoy you at every opportunity".
