Austria considers changing their rules for family support by the state. If the state pays for children living abroad, then the payout is to be adjusted to the cost of living in the target country.

Hungary has now said that if that becomes law, then they will have to look at the generous regulatory environment that Austrian banks are enjoying in the country.

Sooo, how does one follow the other? Are that many Hungarians living in Austria while supporting their families back in Hungary? Isn't bank regulation a (mostly) EU thing?

Wasn't that something Camerons negotiations last year gained?
Kippers ruin it for everyone.

Does Hungary exports gypsies to Austria too?  :P Could explain the "pay for children living abroad thing", with them living between both countries.

Apparently.

Similar with Slovakia. Vienna and Bratislava are about a 1 hour drive from each other.

Looks like they have Slovakia and the Czech Republic juxtaposed on the map.  Silly Euros.

Too? How are Slovakia and the Czech Republic juxtaposed on that map?

Valmy

Well they are right beside each other.
