There's been tests with self driving buses in one of the outskirts here in Vienna. The buses are small, with a traveling speed of 12 kph.

There was an accident this week: a young woman, wearing headphones, looking at her cellphone, stepped into the road without checking for traffic. The bus couldn't stop in time. The woman was lightly bruised in the leg.

As a result, the whole test is put on hold and is being reevaluated.  :rolleyes:

Well, you're always going to have careless people. So it's a matter of seeing if the self-driven bus is behaving worse than a human driver in this situation.

Another one of my cats was diagnosed with cancer.  I noticed earlier in the week that her mouth was swollen so I take her in thinking it was an abscess tooth.  Mouth cancer.  Cancer has spread quickly and there is no way to save her. :(
