Today I went to a big pet shop nearby which for some reason I've never been to.
It was...horrific.
Outside the doorway to the place you have some cages packed with baby chickens, ducks and quails. Rather bizzare from the get go.
Inside there's an owl sitting on a log. I wasn't sure it was real at first, its not in a cage its just there...shouting.
Further in there's a monkey. A real monkey, in a horrible little cage. And just above him also in a tiny cage is an owl.
Snakes are kept in little tuppaware boxes that they just about fit in, a turtle is in a tank with no land, and dogs are kept in small enclosures seperate from each other.
Turtles are seemingly sold by the kilo, there are some scary looking gigantic monster fish in little tanks that I can't imagine anyone ever having any use for beyond eating, and...ugh.

Japan. I love you for a lot of reasons. But you really need to sort out your attitude to animals.

So Warszaw is alright. What was up with that right wing demostration last night though? A weaker showing than what I expected from Poland. There were more police than nutjobs.
