To be afir to Ridley Scott, he only did one Director's Cut.  The film released as the "director's cut" wasn't actually done by him, it was just done based on his notes and comments about what he had wanted.

His cut, aka "the Final Cut," is actually noticably superior to any other version (I have the five-movie pack and have seen them all).  It is also remastered from the original stock and superior in image.

I've lost count of the number of different editions the original Star Wars trilogy have been subjected to. Is it possible to get the old-school, undigitized, unchanged, han shooting first ones anymore?

Somewhat less than Blade Runner, but the difference is each of those was an improvement.
