I agree, but his "Last Week Tonight" or whatever it is actually called has let him do stuff even better. He is prying deeper, and at HBO they seem to let him go after just about anyone. His takedown of the tobacco industry this week was very good.
These mock news shows actually do a better job with the news than actual news shows in many cases.
