I don't get the Dutch hate.

I only heard this game on the radio, but judging from the commentator Robben was flapping all around again. They're the Portugal of Northern Europe.

Wow, still bitter about not making it to the WC.
All teams dive and flop but some people like Müller or Robben profit from it since they are more "popular" among the referees.

I just dislike Robben, van Persie, and Sneijder. I hope they never win anything.

I don't think I can blame Robben or Holland for that.

Also, yes, if I were to hate all divers I'd be out of a sport, but Robben does it more annoyingly than others. Can't explain it, there probably isn't any explanation.

The penalties I saw called for Robben looked pretty legit.

If said popularity is linked to the "relationship" with Blatter and/or Platini, you can blame Holland, Germany, Brazil (home advantage), France (referees were blind until the game vs Germany) or whoever else.

Please god let there be an Argentina - Brazil final at the Maracana and then have a Messi hat trick in a 5-0 demolition of Brazil.

So you want a revolution in the Americas ? Commie!

I want the most hilarious comedy possible to happen, and if that happened I wouldn't stop laughing for days.

With the Neymar injury I'm sort of rooting for Brazil now. It is sort of weird to think of Brazil as the underdogs, but with the way the team has played and without its star, they sort of are.

Have to also root for the dutch, because of mono.  :P

I'm embarrassed. I've been making the mistake of associating with you. It won't happen again. :)

Has there been any football related riots yet?

I have yet to meet anybody in real life or online who likes my WC system.  Everybody is against it, including my wife.  As soon as I say anything on this topic, what usually happens is everybody roots for the guys that I am against.

But I usually win.  See, the previous WC winners also happen to be the best teams in the world.  The Asian, North American and African teams are the underdogs.  So I usually win in my predictions.  I got 100% accuracy in all 4 quarterfinal matches, for example  :P

Well, if you look at how the teams did in 2010, the Dutch would now be the favorite.

Couple things.

1. Why is this thread unstickied?
2. What happened to the Brazilian samba drums? You'd always hear them at world cups when Brazil played. I haven't heard them this time around
3. Ok...so the world is normal, and the usual suspects are in the final four. That said, I don't think there's been a dominant team this world cup. Neither of the final four have been totally amazing
