I am very thankful for fans who buy these merchandise.  This is often the reason why the shows are made with the budget they have.  It is now increasingly difficult to make money out of selling the rights to see these shows.  So merchandise is the way to go.

It emulates the Bayeux Tapestry, which is famously also not actually a tapestry, but by dint of being called the same for a thousand years gets a pass on the misnomer.
