Or we're living in a prison

Of our own devising!

It is like this.  There is a real world somewhere out there.  Somehow we committed a crime there.  The powers that be decided to punish us by sending us into this simulation designed to cause suffering.  The sentences differ for different kinds of criminals.  Petty criminals suffer less.  They maybe born in a rich family/country.  Serious criminals suffer more in their human lives.  Our sentences end when we die in this world.

To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

That doesn't make any sense.
What about child mortality, genetic or mental sickness that doesn't allow some people even understand they are alive, what about intelligence levels?

So, if you are born a black dude in the poorest African country, in a very poor family, and live a very poor life to a hundred, you are the worst criminal?

Mono is not Chinese. He is honkongness, and then cantonesse. He is not of the mandarin linguistic group.
