It's easy but you'll need to upgrade your video card.

or wait 2 weeks & buy a PS4.

My 5770 won't be good enough?

With my Mac upgrading is not an option.  Since they started working on the new Mac Pro they haven't released any new graphics cards for a couple of years.

Nope, not at 1080p with max graphics. If you contend with lower settings, it might.

If you want to play an FPS, try Blacklight Retribution. It's Free to Play & fun. Use your points to rent stuff, you are not going to play every night, spend them.

Why would I need max graphics?  I just want it to not look like crap.

Because on the lower settings it will look like crap especially compared to the new generation of Consoles.

I have to admit, I preferred the maps from Battlefield 3, particularly the Middle Eastern maps.  The ones in BF4 aren't so bad, but they really are dark.  And all the uniforms are dark as well, so it's tough to see somebody.  Luckily the night optics and FLIR does better than it did in BF3.

I've been playing hardcore the whole time, so there's no minimap and you really lose your bearings on some of these maps until you get used to them.

Plus, it had been quite a while I played a fast paced FPS before this one (World of Tanks isn`t really fast paced IMHO), and I found myself being in slow motion for a while compared to all the teenagers running around on the maps. Last time I played it was getting better. Just don`t give up during your first couple of tries. :D

Yeah, I totally suck when it comes to running and gunning against a bunch of 16 year olds, but I try to get satisfaction in the quality of kills rather than the quantity.  I have the Fast Attack Craft already maxed out, so there's nothing like getting a 5 man multikill with Zuni rockets.  :D

And I still do my Palestinian thing with C4.  ALLAH SNACKBAR

FunkMonk

I just unlocked C4 for my Support soldier.  :)

My problem with hardcore is that losing the ability to tag enemies on the "HUD" ie putting the red triangles above their heads by reporting them is too much IMHO. That is a great system to substitute radio and speak communications which would be going around if it was a real battlefield.

CountDeMoney

Wait until you get the gunner unlock for the vehicle incendiary defense.

I've noticed a shitload more TKs in BF4's hardcore mode;  you wind up shooting your teammates, because the only way to identify them is by getting them in your sights;  the blue triangle isn't there unless you've scoped them first.  Oops.

I am clueless enough in normal, I am keeping away from HC for the time being. Too bad because I hate the whole "empty half of your machine gun magazine to make a kill" thing in these games.

I remedy that by being a grenade-spamming monkey.

Grey Fox

In BF3 there were the half way to Hardcore servers.

You had no crosshair, extended dmg & no mini map but had everything else, including enemy tagging.

I've decided that I prefer the BF3 maps more.  There's just not enough...stuff...in these.

CountDeMoney

Yeah...I love the tweaking of the weapons and the kits, and the sniper ability to range properly, but I definitely preferred the BF3 maps as a whole.
I read somewhere that there was supposed to be 3 "fan favorite" maps from BF3 included, but I don't know when or where that's all about.  :(
