Do you have a paid position where you work at least 37.5 hours per week?

Yes - I work more than my share, damnit!
No - but I'm retired, so it's all good.
No - and if you're hiring, here's my resume!
SAHP - I work from home, carin' for the chillin'.

Yes, but I'm half-tempted to shove CdM's resume under my boss' door and walk away from it.

CdM in Reno?

In a hotbed of gambling and whore houses? :hmm:

Can't get a Job.  Federal law.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Yes, a full time + Navy reserves.

Raz, don't lie, you can work, just with certain limits.

Yes, if you don't mind me asking, what kind of benefit? SSA DIB? SSIDI? Different rules.

It seems that a remarkable number of Languishites do not have a paying gig at the moment. Some are by choice but it seems that quite a few are not.

You dont have a choice for me.

RAZ, DIB? so you worked before? or off a parents record?
This year the Substantial Gainful Activity level is $1040 a month. You have a trial work period, 9 months within 5 years, any month you earn $750 of more counts to that trial work period. if you stay under that $750 it never affects you. During those 9 months you can earn over the SGA limit of $1040 without losing the benefit for those 9 months. If you reach 9 months of TWP, SSA will do a continuing disability review to decide if your benefits continue or not. If the continue, you still have the SGA limit of $1040 a month.

If you receive SSI (never worked, low SSA benefit) on the first of the month ($710), anything over $65 a month starts to reduce it, this one is a benefit based on income or resources.

If you prefer, you can PM me, I'll guide you to the proper info at ssa.gov.

Yeah, I'm thinking so.  I get ever so board and lonely.  I would just hope I could keep a job.  I'm still kind of insane and that has caused problems before in the workplace.

Do you have a Goodwill or Salvation Army around you?  Sometimes they have jobs for the reality challenged I think.

Dude that hangs out at my karaoke joint is pretty nuts and he has a gig at Micky D's.
