Research isn't done until the dick goes in.

I paid them to talk to me about their life and such. I was writing a lawyer show and there was an episode about a murder in a brothel.

So I guess I'm one of the gimpy schmos in The Deuce.  :(

Admiral Yi

That's cool.  You have other qualities.

Lost City of Z - great subject but rather average movie. The explorations - both of the Amazonia and of the character's psyche - are rather skin deep. A cheapened, easy-to-digest, Oscar bait version of Agirre, Wrath of God.

No love for El Dorado? Way above Lost City of Z, though second to Aguirre.

Looks interesting.  :)

Yep, this is after all the other movie about Don Lope de Aguirre, in Castilian.

I don't rate El Dorado too much, to be frank. But it's better than Z, indeed. Not many good Conquistador movies, so El Dorado might still be near the top by default.

Tonitrus

The John Wayne version is good too.  :P

There's a good Spanish blu-ray of it which can be found for cheap but not subtitles.
However, there is also an old Warner DVD version exists with English subtitles. May not be easy to find though.

Spotlight.  Terrible title.  Boston Globe investigates kiddy diddling priests.

Good cast, well made but ultimately meh.  Maybe meh plus. There's only so many things that can happen in a newspaper movie.

The Brain

Finished S1 of The Borgias. Björn has yet to appear. Also, I am SHOCKED and OUTRAGED that they made Machiavelli 20 years older.
Women want me. Men want to be with me.

Into the Spiderverse is surprisingly great. It's also liable to give you a seizure though.

The fact that they put the film in the same continuity as Raimi's films gave me a pretty big smile.

garbon

Oh good, I do want to see that.

Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".
Hubris must be punished. Severely.
