A new election was called in February after the Socialist government failed to pass this year's budget. All polls have them winning the election, but a big question mark remains about whether they'll be able to form a government. Worse still, many polls show a hung parliament unless a coalition is formed with problematic parties (Catalan separatists or the Spanish far right).

But that point is moot, since here on languish we vote on looks only. Not many women this round, but who would Languish vote for?

I feel like we have this thread once or twice every year.

Those are the Catalan elections, we have one of those every year or so (watch this space later this autumn  :P)

Last Spanish GE was in 2016.

Your choices look to be as dismal as ours are going to be in a few months.

They look quite a bit younger than ours.

Yeah, only one candidate over 40 among all the parties that are set to capture over 20 seats. And that one is just 47.

The recession and its political aftershocks killed the Socialist establishment that had ruled the party since the 1990s, and the blatant corruption did the same for the conservatives recently. Ciudadanos, Podemos, Vox... are all newish parties that have 30-something leaders.
