I think it's a disgrace they're not endorsing the independent thinker who's come up with ideas like injecting sunlight or ingesting bleach <_<

No surprise there that Scientific American is behind the times.  They are still on the outmoded Kuhnian paradigm involving gathering data and testing hypotheses. They aren't hip to new paradigm of pulling scientific laws out of the 5 dimensional chess player's giant ass.
The purpose of studying economics is not to acquire a set of ready-made answers to economic questions, but to learn how to avoid being deceived by economists.

Interesting. Scientific American has officially endorsed a presidential candidate, allegedly for the first time in its 175 year history.

Anyone want to guess which they endorsed? No prize for getting it right though. 😄

Science is a sharp, pointy stick to DG's flaccid moribund statistics.

Statistics is fascinating to me, because it's a field where even very smart people can make basic and yet consequential mistakes.  It's also very depressing, because it gives you Cassandra syndrome when you constantly observe even very smart people parroting commonly accepted nonsense related to your field, and there is not a whole lot you can do about it.

That applies to any field.

that's not what he said, that was lie perpetrated by the failing Post and other, filthy liberal medias.  Whatever you thought you saw or heard in the video does not indicate it is the truth of what the President was conveying.

The President said it was a lie and he never said this, therfore it is the truth he never said such a thing.  Or so I learnt on Facebook.

madness is all in the mind
I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.
