He's going to be making a lot of policy decisions, and running the EOP on a day-to-day basis.

No he won't - he lacks one essential characteristic to exercise effective power in the new administration: his name is not "Trump" and he isn't married to one.

You guys really need to read up on your Pence.  He's going to be making a lot of policy decisions, and running the EOP on a day-to-day basis.

I hope you're right.  Mike Pence impressed me a lot during the campaign.

Of course he did. He is a religious fanatic.

Imagine what Trump is going to do to the climate change issue.

He believes it is made up.

I know you didn't mean to encourage me, but, well, there you have it.

Personally, I don't think Trump let's anyone make decisions besides Trump.

A lot of outtakes from his business dealings recently seem to indicate he is happy to let his subordinates (e.g. his kids) do all the work/make the deals...and then he signs the checks/contracts.

Pence is a discount Ted Cruz. Not quite as bad, not quite as competent. Still pretty damn bad. Competent enough that the country won't fall apart if he really manages to wield a lot of power. Will he actually wield that power? Who knows?

So about that Iran deal ...
Here in these streets are the things that we want: sex and birth, votes and traits, money and guilt, television and teddy bears. But all we've actually got is each other. You decide what that means.

I don't see what exactly Trump can do about Iran except rant.  It's not like the rest of the world is going to jump to attention and reimpose sanctions because Trump won an election.  The most he could do is unilaterally impose sanctions, and he would still need Congress to do that.
