They do have tenured professors in South Korea, correct, it's just that you're not on a tenure track?  Or are there no tenured positions there?

I just learned that the US broke off diplomatic relations with Sweden in 1972, and that Swedish doctors trained North Vietnamese medics.

Sweden has a consistent record of lame foreign policy.

The US didn't break off diplomatic relations with Sweden, but it dd freeze them and recall its ambassador.  The embassy and consulates remained open, and the Swedish ambassador to the US was not expelled.

Well, the US did some nasty stuff in Vietnam and Sweden had a socialist demagogue for prime minister. I seem to recall under the counter discussions where the Swedish government made clear that the harsh critical language was just an act meant for internal consumption and not meant seriously.
